Golden Pass
If you are 65+, you may attend Dalton Public School's home sporting events for free. All you need is a Golden Pass card that you present at the entrance to games. To obtain, send an email. Be sure to bring your photo ID to pick up your card when it is ready. Cards are produced in our Human Resources Dept. located on the second floor of City Hall, 300 W. Waugh St., Dalton, GA.

Volunteer
Now more than ever, children need to spend quality time with adults who care about them and are good examples. Make a difference in a child’s life by volunteering in the Dalton Public Schools. Opportunities abound for those who enjoy working directly with children and those who prefer to be behind the scenes. Individuals and groups are welcome.
Some of the ways you can help out include:
- reading to a child
- assisting a teacher
- helping in the office
- supporting a special event
- tutoring students
- leading a facility improvement project
Each school in our system has unique needs and service opportunities for volunteers. Call the school office or visit the school’s website to learn more.
Tax Exempt Info
Dalton residents over age 70 may be eligible to pursue some amount of tax exemption related to school funding.
