Benefits

Dalton Public Schools offers a comprehensive benefits package to all eligible employees who work at least 20 hours or more per week. More detailed information on each of the benefits can be viewed by using the menu on the left using the Benefits menu. The benefits program includes the following plan options:

  • Health Insurance - Offered through the State Health Benefit Plan
  • Voluntary Benefits  - Includes Flexible Spending Account (medical and/or dependent care), Dental, Vision, Disability, Life, Critical Illness and Auto and Homeowners Insurance.
  • Payroll deduction for various benefits through approved vendors including Liberty National, Aflac, Valic, Foresters Group, Lincoln Financial, Pacific Life, Bradley Wellness Center and Georgia Federal Credit Union 
  • FMLA (Family Medical Leave Act) for up to 12 weeks of leave for a qualifying event
  • Workers' Compensation
  • Sick Leave 
  • Retirement - Teachers Retirement System of Georgia, Public School Employees Retirement System, 403(b), 457 and Roth IRA retirement savings plans
  • Paid/Unpaid Annual Leave (12-month employees)
