Serving about 300 students in grades 8-12, this high school features a non-traditional, small-school setting with student-specific virtual learning opportunities in core subject areas.
The small-school environment and the customized learning plans for students are designed to help all MIHS students earn the credits they need to graduate within the state's prescribed four-year time frame.
After-School Tutoring
Due to funds awarded by Title 1, we are happy to be able to offer students after-school tutoring sessions in any of their subjects. Three teachers will be available every afternoon from Monday through Thursday to assist students. It is open to all students and free of charge. Call Carol Griggs at 278-4163 for more information.
Title 1 Funding Awarded
We are excited to qualify for Title 1 funding, which will allow our schools to better provide for the students. The funding will be used for much needed tools and resources such as after school tutoring, science projects (frog and fetal pig dissection), books for the English Department and informational posters in the classrooms. Carol Griggs is the Title 1 Coordinator, organizing the effort to purchase needed materials, always with the focus in mind that "graduation is the goal for each student."
