Pennies for Patients

In support of live-saving cancer research and patient services, our school will be participating in Pennies for Patients for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society! January 30 – February 17, grade levels will be competing to see who can raise the most money and win a pizza party. This year, we honor Beth Evans, who is battling blood cancer alongside her husband, a Roan School Bobcat, and her two children. Roan Makes AYP for 2010 - 13th Year in a Row!

Every DPS school, and the school district,  made adequate yearly progress (AYP) this year as determined by Georgia's criteria to comply with the federal "No Child left Behind Act."  Of note, DPS was one of only 27 districts in Georgia where all schools made AYP.  In addition, Roan School was highlighted for 12 consecutive years of making AYP.  For more information on the results by school, click here.
