| System-level CRCT Scores now availableTo see 2009 CRCT scores (Georgia's standardized test grades 1-8) by subject in each grade level, click here. The Georgia Department of Education will release scores for individual schools on July 7. In mid to late July, the Dept. will release Adequate Yearly Progress (AYP) reports.
“The CRCT is a snapshot of our students’ progress since the beginning of the school year,” said Deana Farmer, director of community relations for Dalton Public Schools. “It is one of several types of data our teachers use to design and differentiate work for students. In a recent meeting with all DPS staff, Superintendent Jim Hawkins outlined priorities for next school year and asked for staff input. One of these priorities was a continued, district-wide curriculum focus on math. Other priorities included providing more collaborative opportunities for staff to design work for students and to improve the assessment tools we use in the district so more real-time information is available throughout the year to better meet the academic needs of students.”
