Important! New Requirements for Student Pick Up and Walking Home!
In the interest of student safety, Blue Ridge has new requirements for pick up and for students who walk to and from school.
- Pick Up: Parents who will pick their children up from school MUST come to the school office to get a car rider permit. We have to verify that the person picking up a child is authorized to do so. People without car rider permits will be required to go to the office to get one before their child is released.
- Walking Home: Parents must provide written authorization for their children to walk home from Blue Ridge School. Authorization forms will be available at the front office. Students without signed authorization forms will not be allowed to walk home.

Blue Ridge School Makes AYP for 2010
Every DPS school, and the school district, made adequate yearly progress (AYP) this year as determined by Georgia's criteria to comply with the federal "No Child left Behind Act." DPS was one of 27 districts in the state in which all schools made AYP. For more information on the results by school, click here.
