REACH SCHOLARS
Realizing Educational Achievement Can Happen (REACH) is a Georgia initiative that is a needs-based mentorship and college scholarship program designed to promote academic success and to expand access to secondary education. The funding for this program is a partnership with both the state of Georgia and the local school district.
Typically, Dalton Public Schools has 5 students selected from the 8th grade. The school district has been participating in the Georgia REACH program since 2018.

ATHLETICS
We use this account to purchase uniforms and equipment.
Usually, your attendance at school sporting events brings in revenues that cover uniforms, protective gear, officials, and a variety of equipment for athletics. However, some sports draws a lower spectator attendance and interest than others. Your contribution to Dalton Public Schools athletics helps us make sure that all sports and schools have the financial resources to meet the needs of our students.

SUPPORT TEACHERS & STAFF
We will use these funds for recognitions and incentives of your teachers and support staff, as well as special efforts that support the Board of Education and superintendent.
The district will use these funds to pay bonuses to the teachers and support staff of the year from all of our schools. Funds may also be used to purchase swag for employees, board members, and partners of the school district. These funds can be used to provide food during district professional learning activities, superintendent breakfasts, advisory groups, and the ambassador's program.
