DPS will add one day of school for students and staff as a weather make up day. Students will go a full day on Thursday, May 24 and have an early release day on Friday, May 25. Graduations that day will be held as planned. Please direct any questions to your school administration.

The Dalton High School swim team competed in the GHSA 6A Swimming and Diving State meet the weekend on Feb. 3 and left as champions.

The Morris Innovative High School Future Business Leaders of America team participated in the FBLA Region Leadership Conference on Wednesday, Jan. 10. Six students placed in the Top 10.

Important Reminders!

  • Mid-winter break is Feb. 15-16 and 19-20. There will be no school for students. There are no plans to use this student holiday or Spring Break (March 30 - April 6) for student make up days. 
  • The next Board of Education meeting is Feb. 12 at 6:30 p.m.
  • Kindergarten registration for the 2018-19 school year is ongoing. Pre-K registration will be held at the Gaston Community Center March 20-21. Pre-K students must be 4 years old by September 1, 2018 to enroll.
