Redesigned CCRPI Scorecards Released
The CCRPI (College and Career Ready Performance Index) scorecards, released by the Georgia Department of Education, have been redesigned to reflect the progress and growth students are making in their learning. Dalton's district score this year is 74.5. Read More.

Spreading Positivity at MIHS on Make a Difference Day!
As part of the United Way of NW Georgia's annual "Make a Difference Day," several social work students from Dalton State decided to take action and make a difference in the lives of MIHS students. Read more here about the school's bathroom renovations.

DHS Senior Jake Dean Gives Back to Westwood with Eagle Scout Project
The idea to fix up the gardens and greenhouse at Westwood Elementary was the perfect combination of filling a need in the community and allowing him to thank a place close to his heart. Read more.

High School Students Acquire Leadership Skills at Annual Summit
DHS Student Council members and the MIHS Future Business Leaders of America chapter had the chance to learn life skills and practice networking at the fifth annual Youth Leadership Summit, hosted by Congressman Tom Graves. Read more.

Roan School Hosts Annual Exploration and Discovery Day
Third, fourth and fifth grade students participated in a non-traditional school day - attending out of the box classes, helping with a service project and traveling to Dalton High School to learn about different sports. Read more.

Students will be on Thanksgiving break next week, November 19-23. See you back on Monday, November 26!

Spanish Radio Show
We host a radio segment on Que Buena 101.9 every other Tuesday at 8:30 a.m. Topics include testing anxiety, mental health, preparing for college, healthy eating and more. The next segment will take place on Tuesday, November 27 and will cover the topic of digital citizenship.
