Read about the amazing Dalton Difference makers we've highlighted in the past few weeks. You can read the story about this new initiative on our website. "Mary teaches first grade at Brookwood. She works from sun up to sun down designing and preparing world class opportunities for her students. Mary's teaching is not confined to the classroom or her students. She goes above and beyond for all students and teachers at Brookwood. Any given day, you will see Mary giving hugs and high-fives or checking in with former students. She is also a leader for her colleagues by helping them think about their teaching and best practices. Mary Kiker is the DALTON DIFFERENCE."
- Courtney Hitchens "I am honored to pass the Dalton Difference coin to Mrs. Idalia Paniagua. Idalia serves the ELL students at Westwood School. She is always excited to work with our English Language Learners. Her positive energy is reflected in the smiles on her students' faces. She makes learning fun and meaningful. She plans lessons based on individual student needs, pulls students for extra instruction as necessary, and communicates with teachers and parents regularly on student progress. Idalia cares about the success of her students and puts them first. She takes time to get to know their families, and to build relationships with the students. She is an incredible asset to Westwood School. She is the Dalton Difference!" - Christen Bryan "I decided to give my coin to Stefanie Taylor. Stefanie is the Guidance Counselor here at Park Creek. "It is my great pleasure to pass along my Dalton Difference coin to Mrs. Ana Goodlett. I have had the pleasure of teaching her classes in PE each week for the past few years. The students in her class are versed in responsibility, integrity and values. This is a direct result of her influence on them. She demands her student's best at all times, and they respond to her. The learning environment she creates helps students of all ability levels learn and flourish in her classroom. Even though her best years as teacher are yet to come, Ana has built a solid foundation for herself and all those who learn under her. Dalton Public Schools are in good hands as long as we have teachers like her." - Heath Ellis
We always want to say thank you to the fine people at Ford of Dalton for their continued support of Dalton Public Schools! |
