Dalton Academy Healthcare Science Pathway Excels at HOSA State Leadership Conference 2024

The Dalton Academy Healthcare Science Pathway proudly announces the outstanding achievements of its students at the 2024 Healthcare Occupations Students Association (HOSA) State Leadership Conference. Five students from the pathway secured positions in the Top 10 in the region, with one student achieving a remarkable placement in the Top 5, earning them an invitation to compete at the prestigious event.

The following students have demonstrated exceptional skill and dedication in their respective categories: 

1. Lesley Morales Garcia – Placed in the Top 10 in the region for Healthcare Career Display. 

2. Gabriela Ruelas – Placed in the Top 10 in the region for Healthcare Career Display. 

3. Angie Ortiz – Placed in the Top 10 in the region for Healthcare Career Display. 

4. Kiara Cespedes Bello – Placed in the Top 10 in the region for Healthcare Career Display. 

5. Itziry Hernandez – Achieved a remarkable Top 5 placement in the region for Sports Medicine. 

Additionally, at the HOSA State Leadership Conference 2024, The Dalton Academy students participated alongside 4,712 peers from across the state. They engaged in over 60 healthcare events, attended enriching learning workshops, explored opportunities at a college and healthcare career expo, and took part in various HOSA fun activities. 

Furthermore, the following students showcased their talents and dedication at the state level: 

6. Fernanda Salacias – Competed in Job Seeking Skills. 

7. Sury Villela – Volunteered in Courtesy Corp. 

8. Cynthia Esparragoza – Volunteered in Courtesy Corp. 

9. Christopher (Logan) Gibson – Volunteered in Courtesy Corp.
