Dalton Public Schools announces that it won the Experience First category in the fifth annual Juniper Elevate Awards. Juniper Networks, a leader in secure, AI-driven networks, honored innovative customers in eight categories this year, and Dalton Public Schools was selected out of dozens of nominations from around the globe.
Jorge Miranda, network administrator for Dalton Public Schools, said that the district has continued to invest in its technology infrastructure to best serve its students and staff. He said he believes this award reflects the extensive time and effort invested into this area over the past few years.
“The demand for a wired and wireless infrastructure that is both secure and efficient, has significantly increased in education for the past few years,” Miranda said. “The Juniper Elevate Award is a recognition resulting from our information technology (IT) department's dedication to supporting staff and student success. We constantly strive to provide reliable connectivity to clients within an innovative district that integrates technology and instruction.”
To win the award, Dalton Public Schools competed against major companies from across the globe.
“The customers honored as 2022 Juniper Elevate Awards winners solve the most complex networking problems to deliver extraordinary experiences,” said Mike Marcellin, Chief Marketing Officer, Juniper Networks. “The way these organizations leverage technology to simplify network operations and improve user experiences inspires us to continue developing innovative solutions to meet our customers’ needs, now and in the future.”
Stuart Davis, director of technology for Dalton Public Schools, said the department was extremely honored to win such a prestigious award.
“Technology couldn’t be more humbled or honored to receive the Juniper Elevate Award,” Davis said. “It is a reflection of Dalton Public School’s forward thinking and continued investment in technology. One of the goal areas of the district’s strategic plan is Operational Excellence through providing state of the art facilities, that extends to our technology infrastructure as well.
