DHS Announces 52 AP Scholars for 2022

Every year, many students attending Dalton High School take Advanced Placement (AP) exams. For some of those students, their exam scores will earn them the distinction of being named an AP Scholar.

This year, Dalton High School was home to 52 AP Scholars, including 5 AP Scholars with Honor and 9 AP Scholars with Distinction.

The title of AP Scholar is granted to students who receive scores of 3 or higher on three or more AP Exams. AP Scholars with Honor are students who receive an average score of at least 3.25 on all AP Exams taken, and scores of 3 or higher on four or more of these exams. AP Scholars with Distinction are students who receive an average score of at least 3.5 on all AP Exams taken, and scores of 3 or higher on five or more of these exams.
