City Park Staff Spend Weekend Cleaning Outdoor Learning Center
City Park Staff Spend Weekend Cleaning Outdoor Learning Center

On Saturday, October 17, a group of City Park staff members came together to clean up their Outdoor Learning Center. Armed with weed eaters, rakes and pole saws, this crew attacked overgrown flower beds, unruly trees and out of control bushes.

In addition to cleaning up these areas, the group was also able to restore their pond to a working ecosystem.

Since 2001, when City Park moved to its current location, the Outdoor Learning Center has been an integral part of the school. Many of the school's clubs and groups take on its care and upkeep throughout the year.

Unfortunately, when schools closed in March due to COVID-19, it impacted the regularly scheduled spring cleaning of this learning space. So, this staff team tackled the task head on this past weekend.

Below are some Before and After photos. City Park's staff and students are glad to see school life returning to a bit of normalcy, and they are also super excited to have their Outdoor Learning Center looking like itself again!
