Dalton Middle to Host MedCamp for Rising 9th Graders
Only seven spots remaining for this year's MedCamp!

Teacher works with two students at MedCampDalton Middle School will host MedCamp again this year for rising 9th graders. The theme of this year's camp is, "If I Had a Heart... Attack." Camp will take place from June 24 - 28 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Hamilton Medical Center in the brand new Anna Shaw Children's Institute.

There is no charge to attend MedCamp. Breakfast and lunch will be provided daily, as well as transportation to and from camp.

Students will learn how to start IVs, CPR, how to stop the bleed. They will participate in other hands-on activities like a cardiac dissection and ECG simulation. There will also be tours of the 911 dispatch center, parts of the hospital, and the Dalton State simulation lab.

This camp is part of a partnership with Mercer University. Mercer will be sending seven of their medical students to come volunteer with campers for the week.
