Elisabeth Rodriguez: MIHS Senior Spotlight 2018
Where were you born?
I was born in Dalton and moved to Mexico when I was three years old. I have been in Dalton for almost three years now.
What were you involved in at MIHS? When I came here I got into the Newcomer's Academy. I also played soccer.
Plans After Graduation: My plans after graduation are going to college at the University of Tennessee Chattanooga and work this summer.
What do you plan to Major in? Photography
I chose UTC because it is a great school and a good opportunity to achieve my goals.
What did you enjoy most at MIHS?
There are a lot of things I enjoyed, but the thing that I enjoyed the most was to be in the Newcomer's Academy.
Favorite teacher and why?
[Stephanie] Williamson is my favorite teacher. She is a hard worker, funny and successful.
Favorite subject or class: My favorite would have to be U.S. History.
What has been your great accomplishment? Just to be here graduating is a great accomplishment.
What has been your greatest challenge?
My greatest challenge was to learn a new language. I am also the oldest in my family so I must take care of everything.
The one thing I'm most proud of is my dad and siblings. They have been my support all this time.
I would describe myself as a class clown at MIHS. I like to see people smiling.
Something people know me for is... I like to complete my goals.
What do you like to do in your free time? Listen to music, sleep, paint and get entertainment on social media.
Person who has influenced your life the most and why? Mr. [Miguel] Gonzalez is a person who always wants you to stand out. My dad also for telling me never to give up.
If money was not a consideration, what would you do? First of all finish my dad's house, my career and after pay for my siblings' school.
My favorite memory at DHS is.... When we were at soccer practice and fell on the ground because it was raining.
In 5 years, I hope I... become a photographer.
