Attention Dalton High School Athletic Alumni
We’re proud to continue building the legacy of DHS athletics through the Dalton High School Athletic Hall of Fame—and we’re inviting our former athletes to be a part of it.
Following the induction of our inaugural Hall of Fame class in fall 2024, we’re now launching a fundraising effort to support the Hall’s continued growth. We’re asking all former Dalton athletes to contribute a $20 donation to help preserve and celebrate the proud tradition of DHS athletics.
🔗 Make your donation here: https://gofan.co/event/2265844?schoolId=GA15366
📩 After donating, please email the following to ryan.richards@dalton.k12.ga.us.
Your full name
Graduation year
(Optional) Athletic photo
Each donor will be featured on a special recognition page on the Hall of Fame website—a digital tribute to the athletes who helped shape Dalton’s athletic history.
We encourage you to share this opportunity with fellow alumni. Your support ensures that the legacy of Big Red continues to inspire future generations.

Please take a few minutes to share your thoughts.

With snow and a wintry mix expected in the forecast, we’ve made the decision to cancel school on Friday, January 10, 2025, to ensure the safety of our students, staff, and families.
This day will not be a digital learning day, so students will not have assignments or online work to complete. We hope this gives your family the opportunity to enjoy a safe and restful day at home.
While we anticipate returning to school as usual next week, we will encourage students to take their laptops and chargers home with them today. This is just a precaution in case weather conditions extend beyond Friday. Please help us remind your child to handle these items with care so they’re ready to use when needed.
If your child is in need of a warm jacket for the winter weather, please contact your school social worker for assistance. We are here to help and ensure all students are prepared for the colder temperatures.
Additionally, if your family is experiencing food insecurity or would like assistance, we invite you to visit our website for a list of food resources available to families.
Thank you for your understanding and partnership as we navigate the winter weather together. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to your child’s school.
Stay safe, stay warm, and we look forward to seeing everyone back soon!
