Last night was a special evening for The Dalton Academy as we celebrated several of our 3DE students at the Junior Achievement Hall of Fame event. Our seniors were recognized as the inaugural graduating class of the 3DE program at TDA, marking an important milestone for our school and the growth of this innovative learning model.
Throughout their time in 3DE, these students have worked on real-world business case challenges, collaborated with industry professionals, and developed the critical thinking, communication, and problem-solving skills needed for success beyond high school.
We are also incredibly proud of Esmeralda Rios, who was recognized as one of the ā19 Under 19ā teens to watch, an honor that celebrates young leaders in our community who are already making an impact.
Congratulations to our 3DE seniors and to Esmeralda for representing The Dalton Academy with excellence. We canāt wait to see what the future holds for each of you. š¾

Congratulations to our Senior 3DE Students!
A big congratulations to all of our senior 3DE students for their hard work and determination this year as they tackled the Engineered Floors Case Challenge. Students were asked to help Engineered Floors develop strategies to better attract young employees and long-term workers in their twisting and heat production areas.
Throughout the year, teams worked to research the challenge, develop solutions, and refine their ideas. Today, they presented their recommendations to a panel of Engineered Floors executives.
Students presented with incredible poise and professionalism. Truly, it was impressiveāyou could hardly tell the difference between trained industry professionals and high school seniors.
While the winning team was Gabriela Ruelas, Fredy Reynoso, and Gael Avila, we want to extend a huge congratulations to all of our students who participated. Your dedication, creativity, and teamwork made this experience a success.
We are incredibly proud of the way you represented The Dalton Academy! š¾

Our Biology students modeled energy loss across trophic levels through a hands-on simulation. Each team raced in a relay while carrying 750 mL of Froot Loops, representing stored energy. After the race, students measured how many Froot Loops remained ā demonstrating how energy decreases as it moves through an ecosystem.

Congratulations to Michael Hunter!
We are proud to congratulate Michael Hunter for winning the VFW Essay Competition at both the Post level and the District level ā an incredible accomplishment!
Our local VFW Post serves Whitfield, Murray, and Gordon counties, and our District spans from the Alabama line to Blue Ridge and south to Marietta. Thatās a large and competitive region, making Michaelās achievement even more impressive.
Students participating in this national VFW program are given a prompt from the VFW National Office and must write an original essay. They then record themselves presenting the essay, and submissions are evaluated on multiple criteria including content, clarity, delivery, and originality.
Michaelās hard work, preparation, and thoughtful response set him apart across a wide field of applicants. We are proud of the way he represented The Dalton Academy and our community.
