We want to make you aware that there has been an accident on the bypass this morning. No Dalton Public Schools buses or vehicles were involved.

However, we have been informed that the bypass will be shutting down shortly. As a result, some of our school buses may be delayed arriving to school today due to traffic congestion in the area.

Our transportation team is actively working to reroute buses where possible and minimize delays. Student safety remains our top priority, and we appreciate your patience as we work through these unforeseen circumstances.

Q: Will my child’s bus be affected?
A: Not all routes are impacted. If your child's bus is significantly delayed, you may receive a call or notification from your student's school.

Q: Will students be marked tardy?
A: No. Students who arrive late due to bus delays will not be marked tardy.

Q: How long will delays last?
A: We are working to minimize delays as much as possible, but the duration will depend on traffic conditions and road closures. We will keep you updated if the situation changes.

Q: Are all students safe?
A: Yes. Again, no Dalton Public Schools buses were involved in the accident. This message is simply to inform you about expected delays.
