Dalton, GA — Dalton Public Schools is proud to announce the 2025–2026 Kiwanis STAR Students and STAR Teachers from its two high schools, recognizing exceptional academic achievement and the educators who inspire student success. The Kiwanis STAR Student program honors the graduating senior at each participating high school who earns the highest SAT score, reflecting outstanding academic performance, dedication, and a strong commitment to excellence. Each STAR Student selects a STAR Teacher who has made a significant impact on their educational experience. At The Dalton Academy, senior Diego Cuna has been named the 2025–2026 Kiwanis STAR Student. In recognition of this honor, Cuna selected Ana Ortega as his STAR Teacher, citing her meaningful influence through continued support, guidance, and dedication to student success. Dalton High School also proudly recognizes senior Hiam Maldonado as its 2025–2026 Kiwanis STAR Student. Maldonado selected Matt Harris as his STAR Teacher, honoring his mentorship, positive impact, and commitment to academic excellence. Both STAR Students and their selected STAR Teachers will be recognized at an upcoming luncheon hosted by the Kiwanis Club of Dalton, alongside other honorees from schools across the community. Dalton Public Schools congratulates these outstanding students and educators on their achievements and extends appreciation to the Kiwanis Club of Dalton for its continued support of academic excellence.
