It’s time for our annual “Square 1 Art” fundraiser! Please check your student’s folder for the catalog and the FREE stickers of their artwork. All ordering is done online, and products will be delivered to your home within 2–3 weeks. The deadline to order is December 5th. Please contact Mrs. Walker with any questions. Thank you!

Westwood Wildcats volunteering at the Gratefull event downtown! ♥️🐾 Working Together, The Westwood Way!

Mrs. Kaphua’s and Mrs. Calsetta’s students created a special Blessing Poem Trail Mix, learning that each ingredient has its own special meaning, and shared their treats with our teachers and staff. 🧡🦃

🐾 Zoo to You at Westwood! 🐾 Our students had an exciting day learning about a variety of animals through the Zoo to You program! They got to see an armadillo, alligator, monkey, and many other animals up close. A huge thank-you to Westwood PTO for making this amazing learning opportunity possible for our Wildcats! We love bringing hands on education to our school!

Our 4th graders had an exciting day in Chattanooga! They visited the TN Aquarium IMAX Center and explored Ross’ Landing Park to see the replica ships of La Niña and La Pinta. Students learned about history up close and enjoyed a fun day of learning and adventure.

Our 3rd graders had an exciting field trip to the Booth Museum where they learned all about American Indians! Students explored the exhibits, discovered new information, and enjoyed hands on learning outside the classroom. It was a great day of learning and adventure!

Our 5th Grade DLI students celebrated Friendsgiving with a delicious pancake breakfast prepared by parent volunteers. It was a wonderful time of friendship and community!

As part of American Education Week, Board Member Mr. Tulley Johnson visited our school today to celebrate our teachers and staff. He stopped by classrooms, shared his appreciation for everyone’s hard work, and gave an apple to each teacher and staff member. We are grateful for his visit and for the encouragement he shared with our school community. ♥️🐾🍎

To wrap up their unit on Bears, Mrs. Smith’s Pre-K class celebrated Teddy Bear Day! Students brought a favorite teddy bear or stuffed friend to school and enjoyed a day full of bear-themed fun. They listened to teddy bear stories, moved and grooved to bear-inspired music, and even participated in teddy bear sorting and graphing activities.

Thank you to our amazing PTO for providing such a delicious Thanksgiving lunch! Everyone enjoyed the meal, and we are truly thankful for all you do for our school community. ♥️🐾

Thank you to everyone who joined us for our 5th Grade and Families Annual Thanksgiving Lunch! Our students loved celebrating this special tradition with their families, enjoying a delicious meal, and viewing a slideshow of what our Wildcats are thankful for. A special thank you to our cafeteria staff, custodians, and everyone who helped make this event possible!

Math Night Fun! Our Wildcats had a blast using problem solving strategies to play games, solve hands on puzzles, and enjoy time with their friends and families. Even Westie stopped by to join the fun!

We’re collecting food and hygiene items to support Westwood families in need. This is a great opportunity for our Wildcats to show kindness, empathy, and community spirit. Donations can be brought to Mrs. Redding’s office. Items will be available at the front entrance for families who need them. Thank you for your generosity! We had a great time honoring our veterans today! 🇺🇸 Our students sang, made flags, and celebrated those who served. 🎶🐾 A heartfelt thank you to all the veterans who joined us, our guest speaker Mrs. Fabiola Miranda, and to our own veteran, Mr. Jennings. We are honored to celebrate you and so grateful for your service! ♥️🤍💙
