The Kiwanis Club of Dalton and The Rotary Club of Dalton recently hosted a luncheon at the Dalton Convention Center, bringing together local soccer coaches and athletic directors for a preview of the upcoming season. Coaches highlighted their teams' outlooks, celebrated last season’s successes, and introduced key returning players. They also shared ways the community can support their programs, including sponsorship opportunities and attending games. The Dalton Academy Announces Addition of Golf Program for 2025-26 Season The Dalton Academy is thrilled to announce the addition of Golf to its athletic program, set to officially launch in the 2025-26 school year. This exciting expansion provides students with a new opportunity to develop skills in one of the fastest-growing high school sports while representing TDA with pride and excellence. Leading the charge as the first-ever Girls Golf Coach at The Dalton Academy is Coach Deb Harrington. Coach Harrington brings a wealth of experience and passion to the program, having played golf recreationally for over 40 years and working in the golf industry for 15 years, specializing in golf course maintenance and food and beverage services. Dalton Public Schools Students Selected for Prestigious Georgia All-State Chorus In November, students from Dalton Public Schools joined nearly 6,000 of their peers from across Georgia in auditioning for the Georgia Music Educators Association (GMEA) All-State Chorus. This rigorous audition process required personal preparation, dedication, and participation in after-school rehearsals, as well as extensive practice at home.
