Mrs. Brock’s second grade class created lizards, snakes, and snails all while using measurement in math this week!

What a great week it has been at City Park! From celebrating Safe Schools to decorating pumpkins for next week's PAWtumn Pumpkin Patch to enjoying Peter and the Wolf courtesy of Dalton Dance Theater...the PAWSibilities have been Endless!!

Congratulations to these students whose artwork will be on display this evening at The Creative Arts Guild for the Dia dos los muertos display.

Special thanks to local contractor and CP supporter, Michael Brock, for sharing his expertise with our second grade students. Mr. Brock brought a variety of tools to help our students with a “construction” project. There are no tools to measure our gratitude for his contribution to our hands-on learning experience!

Last week, Mrs. Jimenez's kindergarten class learned about the life cycle of a pumpkin and estimated how many seeds were inside.
They counted how many seeds were inside by gluing them down on ten frames. They then skip counted by 10's to find out how many seeds we had!

Mrs. Gonzalez's class enjoyed a fall trip the North Georgia Fair today!

Mrs. Roper and Ms. Velasquez's kindergarten classes enjoyed reading the book Spookley the Square Pumpkin! They followed up their reading with a hands-on activity!

Today our students came together to stand for kindness, acceptance, and inclusion. Seeing these smiling faces side-by-side reminds us that when we support one another, we all shine a little brighter.
This is what Unity Day is all about — lifting each other up, celebrating our differences, and showing that every student belongs.

Our character trait of the month is Kindness, and we have been encouraging students to “fill each other’s buckets” with acts of kindness.
Today, ten names were drawn from our Kindness bucket, and these students were given a token to use at our book vending machine.
We are so proud of these bucekt fillers!
